Job Description

Publicis Sapient is lookingfor a talented, self-motivated Java Developer who is proficient in Java based application development and has experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will work as a member of a cross-functional Agile delivery team within a larger inter-dependent enterprise platform project. Qualified applicants must be detail-oriented, result-driven individuals who work well within team environments and have good interpersonal skills.

We are seeking candidates with a willingness to learn all aspects of modern application development to be a full stack developer. Our goal is to create well-rounded developers who may have strong expertise in and be leveraged primarily for either front end or back end development, but with the capability to support all development efforts.

Responsibilities: Demonstrates ability to work with system owners, business owners, technical teams, and functional teams to design, implement, test, and validate a system.Meet with business and system owners to understand and document desired system requirements.Work with business users to gather requirements, write functional and technical specifications.Design and develop new code and/or support operations, maintenance, and enhancements of existing code.Implement solutions to conceptual and technical design including use of OOA and OOD techniques.Conduct multiple levels of testing including unit, system, integration and performance.

Qualifications

Requirements & Experience Guidelines: Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent ResidentEligible for U.S. Government Clearance.2-3 years of experience in Java-based software development using Spring or equivalent frameworksAbility to contribute clean, readable, maintainable Java code to a repository shared by many developersExperience with Microservices and APIs.Experience in Front end frameworks such as React, Angular etc. is desiredExperience with front-end technologies such as javascript, CSS, and jQuery is desiredAbility to use integrated development environments (IDE) such as Eclipse, Java Compilers, and build tools like Maven to develop and troubleshoot issuesFamiliar with SQL and/or experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQLExperience working with MongoDB is desiredSolid understanding of all parts of Software Engineering (e.g. Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Experience working in agile or iterative SDLCsExperience participating in peer code reviewsAbility and willingness to learn new technologies quicklyUnderstanding of Cloud and DevOps technologies and practices is desiredBachelor’s Degree required from college or University

Additional Information

Annual Pay Range: 83,000 - 124,000 USD

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. The actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and the specific skillset required for the work.
