Role: Energy Components Systems Developer

Location: London (Remote - partially working Australian hours)

Day Rate: £640 (Inside IR35)

Contract Length: 6 months

Paritas is actively seeking a skilled Energy Components Systems Developer to join a global consultancy on a contractual basis. This exciting opportunity involves collaboration with a leading utilities infrastructure firm, contributing to the design, development, and testing of complex technology solutions within the highly customized Energy Component's hydrocarbon accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development: Actively contribute to the team working on the design, development, and testing of technology solutions for our client’s Energy Components hydrocarbon accounting environment.Technical Capabilities: Demonstrate expertise in Java backend/frontend programming, Oracle database modeling, PL/SQL programming, and have a good understanding of databases like ORACLE and SQL.Quality Communication: Possess quality communication skills and emotional intelligence to lead, develop staff, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Leadership and Support: Provide technical leadership and support within the software development team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring adherence to industry best practices.Project Delivery: Experience with Project Delivery frameworks/methodologies, including Agile and DevOps work practices.Gas Transmission Knowledge: Demonstrate a working knowledge of gas transmission-related products and services.

Technical Competencies:

Good knowledge of Energy Components (EC) Transport, Sales, and Revenue modules.Business knowledge of Gas dispatching.Proficiency in databases like ORACLE and SQL.Java backend/frontend programming, Oracle database modeling, and PL/SQL programming.Familiarity with App Server/Web Container – WildFly.Bonus: Experience with PowerBI or similar business analytics tools.Proven experience in EC software development and support tools.Working knowledge of IT Service Management processes and practices.Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
