Back End Developer

We are looking for multi-skilled candidates with excellent interpersonal skills for the position of Backend Engineer, start working on a specific project (4-12 weeks).

The salary ranges from 3,200USD to 4,000USD per month, depending on the candidate’s experience and seniority.

Candidates from other Latin American countries may be considered. Candidates in a time zone outside of the western hemisphere will NOT be considered. The role is 100% remote.

ResponsabilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs that power our web and mobile applications. Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Implement and optimize data models, databases, and database queries to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code in server-side programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, Node.js, or others. Develop and integrate third-party APIs and services as needed. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to secure access to the application's resources.Perform regular code reviews and collaborate with the team to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards. Optimize server performance, scalability, and resource usage to handle high levels of traffic and data. Troubleshoot and debug server-side issues, identifying and resolving bugs and performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy, monitor, and maintain production environments. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in back-end development. Maintain documentation for server-side code, APIs, and integration points. Participate in an agile development environment, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies.

Requirements: Professional English levelProven experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role, with a portfolio of server-side projects. Proficiency in Python and React Strong knowledge of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience in database design and optimization. Familiarity with web frameworks and technologies used in back-end development (e.g., Flask, Ruby on Rails, Spring Boot, Express.js). Understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience in building and consuming APIs. Version control proficiency with Git or similar tools. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Understanding of microservices architecture and related technologies. Familiarity with serverless computing and serverless frameworks (e.g., AWS Lambda).
