Spruce InfoTech, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to join our dynamic team in India. As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications with a focus on Cobol, JCL, DB2, Stored Procedures, and Syncsort.

Responsibilities:- Design, code, test, debug, and document software solutions for mainframe applications.- Develop and maintain Cobol programs, JCL scripts, DB2 queries, Stored Procedures, and Syncsort processes.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.- Perform code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices for mainframe development.- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing mainframe applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.- Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in mainframe development to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our applications.- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers as needed.

Requirements:- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- 8+ years' experience in mainframe development.- Proficiency in the Cobol programming language and experience with JCL scripting.- Strong knowledge of DB2 database concepts and experience writing complex SQL queries.- Hands-on experience with Stored Procedures development and optimization.- Familiarity with Syncsort or similar tools for data manipulation and sorting.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
