Analytical Software Developer

Our client is seeking Analytical Software Developer to gather, analyze, and interpret data on the performance of their website and other digital properties. The Ecommerce Analytics team ensures that their data is complete and accurate, creates automated reporting, and conducts ad-hoc analysis to understand user behavior and assists the organization in making data-led decisions to improve performance.

Position Description:TOP 5 SKILLS REQUIRED:1. Proficiency writing complex queries in SQL2. Experience with a cloud data platform like Snowflake, Databricks, or Amazon Redshift. Preference for Snowflake.3. Experience with common visualization platforms like Power BI, Tableau. Preference for Power BI.4. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical business partners5. Ability to detect and troubleshoot data quality issues

REQUIREMENTS:• Build automated reporting and dashboards using data visualization tools (primarily Power BI).• Provide technical expertise- write custom queries to ensure that the eCommerce organization has access to all data required for effective reporting and analysis.• Serve as the interface between business and IT teams to collect business requirements, translate those requirements into robust technical solutions, and assist in the implementation of those solutions.• Proactively ensure the accuracy of all data used to generate dashboards and reports.• Partner with IT and other technical experts to troubleshoot data issues and find appropriate solutions.

Additional experience:• Demonstrated knowledge of standard data warehousing and ETL concepts.• Proficiency in SQL.• Experience in data selection, extraction, and cleansing for corporate applications, including data warehouse and data marts.• Significant expertise in investigating and resolving data issues across platforms and applications, including discrepancies of definition, format, and function.• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with a cloud data platform (Databricks, Snowflake), preferably working with digital analytics data.• At least 2 years of experience with common visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI), with a preference for Power BI.• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.Notes:Must have skills- ETL, Snowflake, Cloud, Databricks, or Amazon Redshift, Power BI, Tableau
