Senior Java Developer

A unique opportunity for a Senior Java Developer to work for an international software house working on data management and integration products. Offering an excellent opportunity to work in a highly-collaborative environment on leading technology while having the flexibility to work fully remotely, or in the office as you wish.

Location: Fully remote or can be hybrid in Cambridge (must reside in the UK & able to reach Cambridge office on occassion)

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum + healthcare, pension etc

Requirements for Senior Java Developer:Solid commercial experience working in Java Software DevelopmentExperience working with Spring BootFocus on back-end developmentAble to manipulate data and handle large data setsExperience working with an RDBMS, ideally SQL or OracleIdeally, you will be degree educated in a relevant subjectAny experience in the following would be beneficial: CI (continuous integration), cloud i.e. AWS or AzureYou must qualify for obtaining UK security clearance due to the nature of projects (this usually means you need to have been a UK resident continuously for the past 5 years, plus tick other criteria)Great communication skills with fluent spoken and written English

Responsibilities for Senior Java Developer:You’ll play a key role as a Senior Java Backend Developer within a cross-functional Agile Scrum team that includes developers, testers, and product managers. Your responsibilities will involve utilising and improving your current skill set, while also acquiring proficiency in technologies like Java 11/17, Spring Boot, Docker, data manipulation, and CI/CD tools and methodologies.
