Python Automation Developer

Project DescriptionThe bank is in process of leading a Digital Transformation across our Americas Division as we continue to modernize our technology, focus on our data driven approach, grow and plan for the future. As a result of this expansion we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Developer to join our Securities Technology team.

Reporting to the Engineering Team Lead, this person will be a key member to provide quality assurance testing to ensure any business-requested changes are validated prior to handing off to UAT. This person will learn the business as well as understand the testing framework and processes for our applications. Required to draw on testing knowledge in order to creatively develop solutions for automating test processes as well as design maintenance procedures and documentation. Within this team, there is an open and collaborative approach to work on solutions for applications and workflow processes. Additionally, this person will be required to automate any repetitive steps in a workflow process or application in order to provide the highest quality for our technology and business and will be required to meet those standards and prove your ability to provide the best test capabilities.

ResponsibilitiesDesign manual test cases and creates automation scripts for in-sprint testing.Execute test cases either manually or using automation test tool during In-sprint testing.Review test coverage and ensures traceability of test cases to the business requirements.Perform impact assessment of all business requirements and any change to business requirements.Maintain applicable test artifacts (Test plan, test cases, test data automation scripts) per the business requirements or change requests.Provide in-sprint testing progress to the functional test lead and escalate any issues/risks.

SkillsMust have- Programming experiences with Python (min. 6-7 years) - either software developer or hands automation engineer who can write code without using QA automation tools for post trade back office and trade flow- Strong working knowledge on SQL to write complex SQL/Store Proc- Strong hands-on experience in building test automation framework and developing automation scripts using Python4-6 years of experience in application development/automation framework development using Python5-7 years of working knowledge and ability to develop test automation script for post trade data lineage.

Nice to haveStrong functional knowledge on investment banking post trade data linage/trade life cycle/trade flow is preferable.
