Role:Montash, in partnership with a leading Sports Organization, is searching for a talented PHP Developer to assist in upgrading their existing estate, particularly focusing on upgrading the Phalcon framework to version 5.4. The current PHP setup requires updating, presenting an exciting opportunity for a skilled developer to lead the project.

Key Responsibilities:Lead the upgrade process of the Phalcon framework to version 5.4 and PHP to version 8.0, ensuring minimal disruption to system functionality.Coordinate test efforts across all teams to identify and rectify any issues arising from the upgrade, ensuring system integrity.Stay in touch of the latest PHP and Phalcon framework updates and security patches.Work collaboratively with the development team to implement best practices and maintain code quality.Participate in coordinated test strategy meetings, providing valuable insights and expertise.

Requirements:Strong background in PHP development, with proven experience working on large PHP monoliths.Proficiency in the Phalcon framework, ideally working with newer versions.Experience with coordinating test efforts across multiple teams.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work autonomously and make architectural engineering decisions.

Desirable skills:Familiarity with PHP versions 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3 is desirable.Demonstrable experience upgrading Phalcon within an enterprise environment.
