Overview:We are on the hunt for a seasoned JavaScript Game Engine Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the creation and maintenance of state-of-the-art browser-based game engines. As a vital part of a cross-functional team, you will navigate through the entire software development life cycle, from the spark of conception to the final deployment. This role demands a deep understanding of both JavaScript and TypeScript, alongside a passion for game engine development and a meticulous eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with development teams and product managers to transform game concepts into reality, ensuring the software solutions are scalable and innovative.Lead the maintenance and enhancement of our browser-based game engine, leveraging advanced JavaScript, TypeScript, WebGL, and PixiJS.Design and implement engaging game engine features, focusing on animation smoothness, responsiveness, and bug-free experiences.Participate in the technical architecture planning, ensuring that code design aligns with both project needs and technical, artistic, and functional constraints.Employ Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices to ensure that all code is effective, testable, and maintainable.Deliver pixel-perfect game visuals, demonstrating an exceptional level of detail orientation.Identify and tackle technical and development challenges, including memory optimization, performance tuning, synchronization, and reliability issues.Write comprehensive technical documentation and actively participate in the resolution of bugs, proposing optimizations and improvements to enhance functionality.Conduct performance profiling, continuously seeking ways to optimize game engine efficiency.

About You:Proven expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, with significant experience in game engine development or related projects.Familiarity with WebGL, PixiJS, and the Spine Framework, showcasing a solid foundation in creating visually stunning and highly responsive games.A strong grasp of SOLID principles and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) to maintain high-quality code standards.A proven track record of utilizing Test-Driven Development (TDD) in project workflows.An exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering pixel-perfect game visuals and animations.Bonus Points: Experience with WebAssembly (WASM) is highly regarded.Background in developing 2D game engines will set you apart.Experience in developing MV3 Chromium extensions is an added advantage.
