Looker Developer

Ahinko International is seeking a skilled and passionate Looker Developer to join our team. This full-time, fully remote position offers the right candidate an exciting opportunity to contribute to our data-driven initiatives, leveraging their expertise in Looker and data analytics to drive insights and inform business decisions.

Key Qualifications:Proven Experience with Looker and LookML: Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and optimize Looker dashboards, Looks, and data models to meet business needs.Advanced SQL Skills: Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis and insight generation. Experience with optimizing SQL performance is highly valued.Database and Analytics Tools Proficiency: Solid understanding of database management and analytics tools. Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts is essential.Experience with BigQuery: Direct experience with Google Cloud's BigQuery or similar cloud-based analytics data warehouses is a plus. Knowledge of best practices for querying and managing large datasets is preferred.Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze business requirements, derive data-driven insights, and propose actionable solutions. Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset are crucial.Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:Dashboard and Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Looker dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.Data Modeling: Utilize LookML to create and manage robust, scalable data models that support the needs of diverse business functions.Data Analysis and Visualization: Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Create visualizations that effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of Looker dashboards and SQL queries to ensure fast, efficient access to insights.Collaboration and Support: Work closely with other members of the data team to support data initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and guidelines for data analysis and dashboard creation.Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and practices in data analytics and visualization to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of our data insights.
