The client is based out of Chicago. Big company. They currently use 2 different tools to transfer data files between 3rd parties (MFT GoAnywhere and MOVEit). These tools are more robust than setting up an SFTP site, but they are looking to consolidate and migrate over to IBM SI/SFG.
Tech Skills: 6+ years with IBM Sterling Integrator (SI) - asking for flex 6+ years with IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG)- asking for flex 6+ years with Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP) and administration on Windows Experience Maintaining and developing Business Process Modeling Language (BPML) using eXtensible Markup Language (XML) Strong understanding of capacity planning, scalability, and performance of the above tools Strong understanding of HTTPS, SFTP and FTPS 3-5 years with Windows and SQL Queries (SQL Server) Knowledge of XAPI Programming languages: Rest API, Java or Python
Primary Responsibilities: The perfect candidate will administer the connection so that both parties can transfer data files successfully and securely. However, there are probably LOTS of clients and thousands of data files that need to be successfully migrated over to the new platform. This will take a lot of pre-planning work to map out the business requirements, technical requirements, timeline expectations, testing, etc. They will need to be able to move all these data files to the appropriate locations in the IBM platform, without exposing any files, corrupting files, disrupting the business, losing files, etc. Once they have successfully done some tests and smaller batches of files in prod, they will need to automate the tasks by writing a script that completes the migrations so that they can handle getting everything transferred over successfully. The candidate must be able to explain their experience well, different file types, how to setup B2B accounts, migrations, etc.
