Senior .NET Developer (3327)

SMX is seeking a customer facing and experienced .NET Developer with a strong focus on DevOps practices to join our team and contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, scalable web applications. You will play a key role in designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining .NET applications, while ensuring optimal performance and user experience. This position is remote supporting a Quincy, Massachusetts based program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Application Development:Develop, test, and maintain scalable and high-performance .NET applications using C# and the latest versions of the .NET framework. Implement web applications utilizing ASP.NET, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience. Containerization and Orchestration:Containerize .NET applications using Docker. Manage multi-container applications using Docker Compose. CI/CD Pipeline Management:Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated testing and deployment processes. Define and manage CI/CD configurations using YAML syntax in GitHub Actions workflows. Version Control and Automation:Utilize Git for version control, demonstrating proficiency in branching strategies and resolving merge conflicts. Work with GitHub repositories, leveraging GitHub Actions for continuous integration and automation. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):Write IaC using tools like Terraform and AWS templates. Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and operation of applications.

Required Skills/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of a .NET development experience with a strong focus on modern development practices. Hands on experience with .NET, C#.NET, WPF, WCF, MVC or equivalent .NET solution frameworks. Expertise in C# and .NET Core or .NET 5/6Hands on experience with Docker containerization and container orchestration. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools. In-depth knowledge of Git, GitHub, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Git workflows. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform or ARM templates. Strong understanding of YAML syntax, particularly in the context of CI/CD configurations. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset in addressing development challenges. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in client-facing roles with the ability to provide service solutions and maintain positive customer relationships. Demonstrates ability to positively influence customers to adopt best practices and technologies.

Desired Skills/Experience:

Experience with Front End technologies such as Angular or React. Previous exposure to AWS DevOps services and/or AWS cloud environment. Experience with Oracle Database Technologies.
