Job Description:As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) at AITS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our Oracle database systems. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Oracle databases, implementing best practices for performance optimization, and ensuring high availability and disaster recovery solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design, install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems, including Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environments.Develop and implement database security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data.Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and tuning SQL queries for improved efficiency.Implement and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RAC, and backup and recovery strategies.Work closely with development teams to support database schema changes, application deployments, and troubleshooting database-related issues.Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.Participate in on-call rotation and respond to database-related incidents in a timely manner.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, with a strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and internals.Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.Proficiency in implementing and managing Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery.Solid understanding of database performance tuning techniques, including query optimization and indexing strategies.Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar monitoring and management tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Preferred Qualifications:Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.Experience with cloud-based database solutions, such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Amazon RDS for Oracle.Familiarity with scripting languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, and Shell scripting.Knowledge of other database platforms, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.Strong programming knowledge on JAVA
