Power BI Developer

Job Summary:As a Power BI Developer at Trailytics, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining impactful data visualizations and reports using Microsoft Power BI. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, transform data into actionable insights, and drive data-driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective Power BI reports and dashboards.- Develop interactive and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.- Optimize and maintain existing Power BI solutions to ensure peak performance and scalability.- Design and implement data models, data transformations, and DAX calculations as needed.- Work on data integration projects, connecting Power BI to various data sources, including SQL databases, Excel files, and cloud-based data warehouses.- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data visualizations.- Keep up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continually improve the effectiveness of data reporting and analysis.- Train end-users on how to use and navigate Power BI reports and dashboards effectively.- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Power BI reports and data connections.- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in the field of business intelligence.

Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard development.- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.- Experience with data integration, including connecting Power BI to various data sources.- Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.- Relevant certifications in Power BI are desirable.
