Role

Splunk IT is growing and seeking a dynamic ServiceNow Software Developer. Working alongside the ServiceNow Principal Architect and Development Teams, you will contribute to the overall ServiceNow solution at Splunk. As we embark on our ITSM Evolution Program and maturation of our CMDB we are looking for a ServiceNow Developer with solid skills and experience particularly in the areas of Configuration and Asset Management and their associated SNOW modules and capabilities.

Responsibilities

Provides application ServiceNow development services and technical supportDevelops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applicationsDesigns, codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains ServiceNowAnalyzes requirements, and maintains, tests and integrates application componentsEnsures that system improvements are successfully implementedHandles Incidents per published SLAs, ensures system stability by actioning required maintenance scheduled tasks, and addresses system issues impacting SLAsImplements ServiceNow workflows that integrate with external web servicesDesigns and develops a workflow framework that can be applied to many workflows, and continuing to seek new opportunities to improve our current manual processesProvides standard methodologies for guiding adoption and influencing the customer to make investments in the solutionHelps define the services that ServiceNow delivers and gets alignment with customers on service definitions, SLAs and critical metricsContributes to a ServiceNow roadmap that plans out investments in system maintenance, upgrade schedule, system improvements and additions to the ServiceNow ecosystem that aligns with the longer term goals and objectives of IT and SNOW’s customers

Qualifications

4+ years of overall ITSM experience3+ years’ experience developing on the ServiceNow platformServiceNow Certified Systems Administration (CSA) certificationServiceNow Certified Application Developer certificationITIL V3 Foundation or aboveExperience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAXExperience of one popular web framework - React, AngularJSStrong experience working with CMDB, and the Application Portfolio Management, SAM and HAM modules in ServiceNow, including managing CMDB health, integrations, Discovery and Service MappingAbility to develop web services such as Scripted REST APIs and Rest MessagesExperience integrating to multiple data sources used to populate the CMDB (SOAP, REST, Webhooks, and JSON as well as JDBC and file imports)Experience with standard methodologies of software development - logging, unit testing (ATF), code reviews, etcAdvanced scripting experience applying best practice formatting and comments in Script Includes, Business Rules, etcExperience with upgrades and skipped update remediationExperience utilizing the Agile/Scrum methodology to define and deliver development workExcellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Solid understanding of the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM)Certified Implementation Specialist certification in one of the OOTB ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, etc.)ServiceNow Service Portal micro-certificationsITIL V4 certification

Base Pay Range

Costa Rica

Base Pay CRC 26,400,000.00 - 36,300,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
