Back End Developer

We are hiring at Now Book It for a Back-End Developer to join our growing team in Australia!

Now Book It is a leading restaurant reservation software development company, looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and proactive developers. We have grown from a team of 3 to 30 in the last 3 years with no sign of stopping as we expand into international markets.

Here is a little window into our company: Now Book It was acquired by Valsoft and now operates under the Aspire Software Portfolio. Aspire Software, the operational arm of Valsoft Corp, operates and manages Valsoft’s global portfolio of wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time-sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

We work in agile 2-week sprints using Jira, confluence, slack, and Git. There are multiple projects on the go, and we also have a dedicated front-end team looking after Progressive Web Apps and Back End and Microservices teams.

The successful candidate can be based anywhere in Australia, working in a remote work model!

What your day will look like:

At least 5 years of experience in .NET (/Core - a bonus) using ASP.NET Web API C#Bachelors degree or advanced degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline is highly advantageousDemonstrated experience of working with REST APIs, Exposure to Micro Services / SOAGood understanding of SOLID principles and dependency injectionExperience in writing Unit and Integration testsExperience working with relational and/or non-relational databasesKnowledge of cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is a plusKnowledge of software development lifecycle/practicesKnowledge of working with CI/CD is a plusReact.js - or Angular.js/4+ or any other front-end frameworkExposure or hands-on skill for the container tech stackAble to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and the ability to act with professionalism in a team environmentResolve issues and provide supportDemonstrate the ability to stay on task as well as self-manageExcellent Communication Skills, verbal and writtenAttention to detail and qualityAbility to take tasks from start to finish and take ownershipAre curious and enjoy learning new thingsMust be legally authorized to work in Australia
