What will you do:The Technical Artist is responsible for developing and maintaining software tools, providing front-line support to the maps team and R&D, and general troubleshooting of the maps/graphics pipeline. The primary focus is ensuring delivery of map and scene content across multiple simulators.Develop pipeline tools to ensure content can be delivered consistently across multiple simulation platforms.Learn and understand the intricacies of simulation-ready content and how we deploy and test maps in our organization.Test and validate tools and techniques in production. Work closely with engineering teams in testing, and releasing new and modified software systems.Update documentation for the pipeline and tools as they are developed and updated.
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Game Design, EE or related fields.2-3 years experience working at a game development company or a visual effects house.Proficiency in English.2-3 years experience with Maya and Houdini.Good understanding of the entire content creation process, from modeling and texturing, to file translation and content validation.Proficiency in Linux.Strong Python scripting required.Ability to communicate cross-discipline and provide innovative solutions to pipeline issues.Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining tools for use in computer graphics.Ability to troubleshoot/problem solve assets and interoperability across systems.
