The RoleJoin our team at Versaterm Public Safety as a Voice Engineer, where you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining our voice solutions. Your expertise in IP networking, VoIP, and software development will be integral to our mission of providing cutting-edge tools for public safety agencies.

Responsibilities:Deploy, implement, and support new products and features in the VoIP network.Design and maintain highly available and scalable VoIP infrastructure.Create documentation outlining the design and support of voice products.Act as subject matter expert for technical support departments.Perform regular off-hour maintenance for voice system products.Coordinate system activities and provide support to Tier 2 and 3-level teams.Identify platform investments to modernize product offerings.Support developers through knowledge sharing and code reviews.Contribute to technical design specifications and reviews.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems, or equivalent experience.Minimum 7+ years’ experience with SIP/RTP and real-time communication protocols.Minimum 3+ years of experience in FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, and OpenSIPS.Advanced experience in designing and deploying VoIP infrastructures.Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Programming experience with C, Python, Java.DevOps Tools proficiency (Ansible, Chef, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD tools).Networking and security appliances expertise.Experience with Linux server operations and cloud provisioning is a plus.
