Mid/Sr Java Developer

Zipdev is looking for a Java Developer who has worked with APIs, and knows Spring Boot; to work with one of our clients. They are a digital marketing company in the home service space looking to expand our team into development. They've recently hired a senior developer and want to add someone to their team.

What you’ll do:

We are seeking a dedicated and talented Java Developer to join our team. In this role, you'll be involved in developing high-quality software solutions in a collaborative environment. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Java-based applications with a focus on cloud services and API integration.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Work with a seasoned Senior Developer who’s worked to design and implement Java applicationsWrite clean, efficient, and reusable code based on best practicesContribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testingDevelop applications for cloud environments, particularly AWS, ensuring scalability and reliabilityIntegrate third-party services and APIs, and develop RESTful services as requiredAssist in maintaining code quality, organization, and automationSupport continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies within the Java ecosystemParticipate in code reviews to maintain high development standardsTroubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systemsEngage in educational opportunities to update job knowledge and technical skills

Requirements

Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceAt least 4 years as a Java DeveloperProficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystemsSolid understanding of object-oriented programmingFamiliar with various design and architectural patternsSkill for writing reusable Java librariesKnowledge of concurrency patterns in JavaExperience with frameworks such as Spring BootHands-on experience with AWS cloud servicesExperience with API design and developmentUnderstanding of code versioning tools, such as GitFamiliarity with build tools such as Maven or GradleProblem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently, not afraid to ask questions and take ownership of a project. Excellent English communication skills Currently living in Latin America.
