Lead Backend Developer

The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Lead Backend Developer to join its team for working with a company from Germany.

The customer is a German B2B SaaS company offering Europe's leading WhatsApp marketing platform and advanced automation. It enables mid to large consumer eCommerce brands a software platform through which brands can manage conversations, sell products, send marketing campaigns, answer questions, analyze results and more. The company has served over 300 brands, such as About You, Mytheresa, and Zalando Lounge.

The project is to maintain and improve WhatsApp's marketing platform.

Responsibilities:- Acting as a key advisor and strategic partner to the VP of Engineering, influencing technical direction and business strategy.- Leading architectural design and development of high-performance, data-intensive applications, with a focus on scalability and efficiency.- Spearheading the creation of sophisticated data integration solutions and comprehensive data platforms, handling the entire data lifecycle from ingestion to processing.- Demonstrating expertise in Node.js,Typescript and Vue applying hands-on skills in developing advanced solutions.- Collaborating with engineering teams, providing both technical leadership and mentorship, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.- Driving technical decisions and being accountable for the implementation and outcomes of complex engineering projects.

Must-haves:- Extensive experience in architecting and building scalable, data-intensive applications using Cloud Tools, Node.js,Typescript and Vue.- Strong background in data architecture, including designing and managing large-scale data platforms and integrations.-Proven ability to lead and inspire engineering teams, with a knack for balancing hands-on technical work with high-level strategy.-Professional experience in another language.- Proficiency in a range of technologies and frameworks, potentially including Go, Rust, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, and public APIs.- Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments, ideally in sectors like real-time analytics, enterprise ecosystems, or similar technologically advanced fields.- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisive technical decisions and drive projects to successful completion.- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
