What’s the role?Are you an experienced React native full-stack mobile developer looking to join a highly innovative company?

This role is an excellent opportunity to work in a diverse team that owns the design and development of a product portfolio of mobile applications. As a React Native full-stack developer, you’ll be working with great tech and be encouraged to explore new tech/tools and unleash your creativity – you might make mistakes along the way, but that’s how you learn and improve!

Main Accountabilities:Develop and maintain scalable and secure multi-factor mobile apps using React Native and related technology stack.Write clean, well-tested, and robust code.Be a self-starter and able to work in small core teams to deliver the required capabilities.Elucidate the requirements and contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from story mapping to testing and deployment.Utilise the design systems (preferably Carbon design system) in the development process.Work to improve agile practices, testing, planning, and software reporting.Debug and resolve technical issues.

Other accountabilities:Open to exploring new technologies and proposing innovative solutions to the current issues and gaps.Build strong working relationships with Product Managers & Business Users.Managing multiple delivery priorities, multiple demand requests and complex (system integration) capabilities.Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.Experience with setting up and utilising continuous integration / continuous delivery frameworks.Experience with cloud computing, including deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of facilities management and workplace business areas.

What are we looking for:

Background:Typical Years of Experience: 5 to 7 years of IT experience.Minimum Education or Certification: 3-year Degree in IT or related areas.

Development Experience:Minimum three years of commercial experience with React Native, full-stack, cross-platform app development. To begin, we need people who can hit the ground running.Experience using standard design systems and a high-fidelity design to construct an intuitive user interface and related interactions and micro animations.Experience with backend programming from request and response handling, managing offline-first capabilities to background data synchronisation utilising various techniques.Experience with JavaScript Testing frameworks and principles (Jest preferable) Experience with device storage solutions like Realm, SQLite, WatermelonDB, etc., to implement full offline-first capabilities.Strong proficiency in HTML, Typescript, Bootstrap / Tailwind CSS.

API Experience:Experience in producing/consuming REST API services.Experience working with OpenAPI specifications.Experience with pub-sub technologies like WebSocket, MQTT, etc. and their implementation in mobile apps for data exchange.Experience consuming third-party APIs related to Maps, Traffic, Weather, etc.Experience integrating identity providers like Google, Azure, Okta, etc., using technologies like SAML, OAuth, etc.

General Experience:Understanding of Agile methodologiesExcellent troubleshooting and communication skills with strong attention to detailAble to work well in a team setting.Creative problem solver who can see a task through to resolution or delivery.Proactively engages and communicates with key stakeholders regardless of level.Ability to proactively think about the end user and the impact/benefit of any design decision they make.An aptitude for working in pressurised situations with changing and conflicting priorities.Drive and ethic to succeed working in small teams, but part of a more significant global effort.Self-driving to communicate constantly using web collaboration and video conferencing is essential.

Added advantage:Experience with implementing mobile push notifications.Releasing applications to both Apple and Google Play app stores.Knowledge of React and standard tools used in the broader React ecosystem, such as Node.js and npm.Ability to work with Device API/SDK and IoT sensors and integrate with IoT gateway and backend systems.Working knowledge of utilising the Postman or similar tools for API consumption.Working knowledge of utilising GraphQL – queries, mutations and subscriptions.Experience working with ASyncAPI specifications.Utilising Firebase in the development.Knowledge and experience working with Redis, MongoDB, and MongoDB Atlas.Familiarity with React.js, Next.JS, and Gatsby.JSSufficient knowledge of the underlying native platform (Obj-C / Swift / Java / Kotlin / Xcode/ Gradle/ Android Studio).Experience with IBM TRIRIGA UX app development using ReactJS / Polymer.Experience in various modules of IBM TRIRIGA.
