The Developer Relations team’s mission is to inspire, educate, and guide developers to better secure their applications. We are looking for a Business Manager to support the Developer Relations team. You will enable this 24-person team of Developer Advocates and program owners to reach developers around the world by accelerating and optimizing the team’s operating rhythm. Responsibilities:50%: Project management of the DevRel major operating rhythm - working with relevant workstream owners and internal stakeholders to ensure that work stays on schedule.DevRel MBR - facilitate the team’s Monthly Business ReviewsLeadership Team’s operating rhythm - facilitate weekly and ad-hoc LT meetingsCross-company rhythms - facilitate the tracking of DevRel’s primary Rhythms of Business (‘RoBs’) - ensuring alignment and successful execution of work across DevRel/Product boundaries and DevRel/Marketing boundariesDrive tracking of major team cross-functional projects to ensure accountability and forward progress30%: Track and manage the team’s spending and procurement requests - we need help to ensure alignment between DevRel and the client's Finance and Procurement groupsTrack and manage team spend - partner with finance and DevRel team leads to ensure that the team hits quarterly budget goalsCoordinate with the compliance and legal teams to track and unblock statements of work and legal agreementsManage approval blockers and identify process improvement opportunities20%: Assist the Vice President of Developer RelationsHelp manage his schedule, meetings, and communicationsLiaise with the EAs to coordinate cross-company operating rhythmsHelp our globally diverse team be connected, healthy, and inclusiveHelp arrange structure and agenda for team summitsTrack and report on progress in Airtable project tracker and budget tracking worksheetsWork with a globally distributed team across Europe, Japan, and the US A successful candidate for this role will be comfortable being a ‘velvet hammer,’ and able to thrive in a globally distributed, Slack-based team environment:You are comfortable with persistently driving accountability on deliverable completion while remaining professionally pleasantYou enjoy bringing clarity and action from ambiguityYou are highly organized and task-orientedYou are able to prioritize and multi-task work across competing priorities - and capable of communicating progress across your workstreamsYou are comfortable working autonomously with an asynchronous workday - most of your day will be in Slack with individuals working across time zonesYou are comfortable working in a geographically and culturally diverse team - and are comfortable adapting to how to drive action from this diverse group of busy individuals
