We are seeking a remote Senior Big Data Developer to join our remote team.

As a Senior Big Data Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data processing pipelines and data storage solutions. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our data solutions. Responsibilities

Design and develop data processing pipelines using Scala and other Big Data technologiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and business needsEnsure the quality and reliability of data solutions, conducting testing and debugging as necessaryMaintain and optimize data storage solutions, including data warehousing and cloud-based storage solutionsParticipate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for data engineeringStay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in Big Data technologies, sharing your knowledge with the team

Requirements

3+ years of relevant work experienceExpertise in Scala, demonstrating your proficiency in designing and developing data processing pipelinesIn-depth knowledge of SQL, highlighting your ability to work with relational databases and data warehousing solutionsPractical experience with Apache Kafka, showcasing your understanding of distributed messaging systemsWorking knowledge of Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, Hive, Avro, and ParquetExperience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks, demonstrating your familiarity with cloud-based data processing and storage solutionsStrong focus on teamwork and exceptional interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage stress effectivelyFluent spoken and written English at an Upper-intermediate level or higher

Nice to have

Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
