SwiftOtter is looking for a US-based Technical Architect for Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento). The ideal candidate has extensive experience customizing on the platform and can interface well with both other developers and clients.

Responsibilities:Building detailed technical specifications for tasks based on acceptance criteriaProviding direction to other team members regarding projectsDeveloping new features for Magento / Adobe Commerce (or other frameworks and platforms) using current techniques and tools such as React and AppBuilder.Troubleshooting bugs, recommending solutions, and implementing approved work ordersUpdating functionality on Magento / Adobe Commerce with microservices or custom modules.Modifying and fixing build systems as needed for smooth delivery pipelinesReviewing pull requests from other developers to ensure a high standard of qualityCommunicating with clients regarding tickets to ensure they meet client’s goalsProviding high-level oversight on technical direction of projectsExecuting releases and deliveries: changes to customer production environments
Requirements:At least 3 years of development experience with Magento / Adobe Commerce.At least 1 Magento / Adobe Commerce Expert-level developer-related certification or demonstrably equivalent experienceAdvanced knowledge of Magento / Adobe Commerce, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, HTML, and CSS.An understanding of microservices and headless systems such as Adobe AppBuilder.Experience with the development lifecycle for eCommerce applications.Ability to understand client requests, break them down into technical requirements, provide estimates, and communicate these requirements to developers.General understanding of best-practice UI/UX for ecommerce sites.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work in a team environment with a project manager and others.Ability to communicate clearly.Ability to understand and solve complex bugs and development tasks.Located in United States but not residing in CA, NY, or IL.Kansas City, Missouri area is a plus.
