KraftPixel, an 9.5 year young organization in the IT sector is looking for a high-ownership and accountable Sr. WordPress Full-stack Developer who has worked with core WordPress headless concepts (backend WordPress, frontend NextJS) and can also operate a CI/CD pipeline (builds etc.)
Core Responsibilities in simple words:
Develop Secure and Scalable Solutions: Use engineering best practices to build secure, scalable, and easy-to-maintain solutions across various web technologies, ensuring high-quality user experiences. We expect you to explain your approaches to clients and team-mates clearly. This means, also explaining what you’re thinking visually with the help of diagrams (flow-charts etc). High-Quality Code: Write clean, efficient, and manageable code in a variety of languages and technologies (PHP, HTML, CSS, NextJS, and others taken up by the company from time to time) to deliver optimized web solutions. You will be carrying high adaptability. Technical Project Management: Lead end-to-end project development, including basic cloud infrastructure setup and management (with a focus on AWS and GCP), to meet technical and business requirements. Proactive Solution Development: Anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they become emergencies. Exercising high ownership and accountability in all your work at KraftPixel. Address and resolve emergencies efficiently when they occur, with an RCA. Technical Troubleshooting: Utilize command-line tools and debugging techniques to identify and resolve system and application issues, ensuring reliability and performance. Empathetic Communication and Timeliness: Maintain empathetic, clear and proactive communication with all stakeholders (external and internal), especially important in a remote work environment. Ensure project milestones and KPIs are met on time. Mentorship and Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, helping them overcome challenges and grow professionally within the team. Helping/teaching/guiding/leading a team of juniors/trainees to get unstuck when they are stuck. Collaboration and Peer Review: Engage in architectural reviews, code reviews, and other forms of peer support to foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Ensure to give KraftPixel’s learning platform (Zoho Learn) time during of this organizational learning pursuit. Comprehensive Testing and Documentation: Ensure team-mates are doing unit-level testing, deployment, and documentation of all projects to maintain high quality and ease of maintenance. Client Technical Support: Serve as a technical point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and concerns with expertise, and maintaining strong client relationships through effective communication. Professional Self Up-skilling: Working towards the next level in your career at KraftPixel: Technical Lead - Web Engineering (3 years)
Requirements
Minimum 3+ year working experience of WordPress backend (code-level) and frontend development or any other PHP-based framework; must have experience with core WP concepts such as actions, hooks etc. Has working knowledge about how to optimize for Pagespeed score without the use of any plugins Excellent working knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP and NextJS Above-average experience with Javascript Above-average experience with debugging; and using performance testing suites such as Google PageSpeed Insights to optimize. Great googling & problem solving skills Ability to get the co-operation of teammates to meet objectives of the company Good English speaking and writing skills.
