Senior .Net Software Developer

Who are we?Our background: Leavetown was started in the Canadian Rockies in 2008 as a vacation rental property. In 2012, we relocated our HQ to downtown Vancouver and started building our own software. In 2017 we branded our software as Jetstream (jetstreamtech.io) and have been growing exponentially throughout North America and Europe since.Our team: We have 40 team members working remotely around the world including Vancouver, Calgary, Majorca and Manila. What do we do?We are building an entirely new way of managing real estate assets for hospitality companies such as hotels, resorts and condo hotels. We provide distribution to platforms like Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com and our own website Leavetown.com. We are equal parts Tech and Hospitality - our Jetstream platform keeps all platforms in sync and up to date, while the internal sales and partner team make sure our guests have the best possible experience.

Who are you?An experienced Software Developer looking for a new and exciting challenge. You are detail-oriented, love coding, and have a passion to help build great products. Passion, motivation, curiosity, and a “stick to it until it's done” attitude are more important than degrees and diplomas for this position. You are likely tired of the impersonality of working for the big companies and you are looking for a small, nimble, growing company where you will be hands-on in shaping and maintaining our products. If you love travel and the outdoors, that is a plus as it's a big part of our culture.

Your responsibilities will include:Implementing new projects and improving our existing platform in collaboration with the other members of the tech team.Writing clean and performant code using development best practices.Participating in implementing short and long-term projects including new back-end functionalities to assist our sales team, new front-end functionalities to improve guest and user engagement, integrations to new partner APIs, and the list goes on. Requirements to qualify for the position:At least 7 years as a software developer with 5 of that being in a .Net and C# environment.A cover letter (don't omit this part please)Fluent in EnglishAbility to work flexible hours.You are located within 2 hours of the Pacific Time zone. Major assets for the role:Experience with Microsoft front end techs such as BlazorExperience building data-driven applications using MS SQL Server (or another RDBMS).Familiarity building or working with RESTful API's.
