Job Title: Remote Laravel Developer

Position Overview: As a Remote Laravel Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using the Laravel framework. This is a full-time position with a fully remote work arrangement and flexible hours, but availability during core business hours is required. You may be assigned to work on multiple projects across different clients, providing you with a steep learning curve and opportunities to enhance your technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:Designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using the Laravel framework.Collaborating with designers, developers, and project managers to implement features and functionality.Keeping portal/application secure and up to date with the latest security patch, including regular backups.Creating new screens and managing the backend database to handle any change in user journey due to new business requirements while taking into consideration the best practices for SEO, security, and performance optimisation.Working knowledge of the WordPress platform is highly desirable and will be a serious advantage as you might be required to help design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, plugins, SEO, security etc.Creating new informational and landing pages as and when requested by business taking into consideration the best practices for SEO, security, and performance optimisation.Analysing log files to assess and report user (internal and external) journeyAdjusting and implementing user access and security based on their profile and business approvalImplementing PoC in the test environment and deploying the same in Prod after business approvalWorking on multiple projects simultaneously and managing priorities effectively.Working on Jira tickets for projects and ServiceDesk tools for support requirementsTroubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring timely resolution.Optimising application performance and ensuring scalability.Adhering to project timelines and delivering high-quality work consistently.Providing technical guidance and support to team members as needed.

Qualifications:2-4 years of hands-on experience in Laravel development.Proficiency in.Proficiency in PHP, Laravel framework, WordPress, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL Database. Knowledge of other DBs will be a bonus.Strong understanding of MVC architecture and object-oriented programming principles.Experience with RESTful API development and integration.Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Vue.js or React is a plus.Familiarity with responsive and mobile design principles.Familiarity with code release in different environments (Sandbox, Staging, Production etc.) using SVN/GitHub/Bitbucket trunking and branchingAbility to come up with multiple solutions to address challenges, depending on project or support requirements but without compromising quality.Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership and drive results.We encourage creative problem-solving with multiple solutions. We are therefore looking for someone who can think outside the framework and craft the most efficient path, saving time, resources and exceeding client expectations while maintaining exemplary quality. Additional Requirements:A PC with at least an i5 processor and 8 GB RAM (if needed, we can/will provide a Virtual Desktop)A reliable broadband internet access from a reputable ISP (unfortunately we don't allow our employees to work on Mobile hotspots due to security concerns and performance issues).Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work on tight deadlines.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership and drive results.Availability during core business hours to collaborate with the team.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.A passion for personal growth and contributing to the success of the company.
