Full Stack SW Developer

A highly talented skilled Full Stack software developer is sought to join an expanding MedTech Start-Up in Berlin. The successful candidate will play a leading role in the design, development and maintenance of a medical device through all stages of the product lifecycle, focusing on the frontend and backend of the patient & clinician apps alongside cloud database and servers.

You thrive on being detail-oriented while being able to see the bigger picture. The role involves collaboration with various teams, including HW, SW, QA, RA, and clinical.

People looking to work in Stuttgart, Munich or Frankfurt will also be considered.

Please note due to grant funding the person undertaking this role will need to be a German Citizen.

Key responsibilities

Develop, prepare, and maintain software documentation under version control environments and medical device software developments standards such as EN62304Design client-side and server-side architectureBuild the front-end of applications through appealing visual designDevelop and maintain web-based applications for PC/Mac/iOS/AndroidDevelop and manage well-functioning databases and applicationsWrite effective APIsDefine and document software verification by formulating protocols and test reportsTest, track and solve software bugs while working in bug tracking environment (Jira) to ensure responsiveness and efficiencyCreate security and data protection settings in compliance with cybersecurity and privacy standards

Skills and experience

University degree (or equivalent) in software, computer science or other relevant fieldExtensive experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role; experience in medical devices is an advantageKnowledge of multiple front-end languages and frameworks (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, Angular, React)Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (Node.js)Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (Apache) and UI/UX design (Figma)Experience developing desktop and mobile applicationsTeam oriented, collaborative with excellent organizational skillsExcellent English skills
