POSITION : Backend Developer / Data EngineerLOCATION : 100% remote

Required Skills:• Focus is on deep experience with data engineering / ETL• AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) experience, and ETL related to applications containerized & deployed on AKS (or EKS)• Synapse db & Mongo/Cosmos db proficiency; deep database knowledge & experience (someone who really likes ETL and db work)• Azure Data Factory proficiency• Proficient with python and SQL

Role DescriptionThis is a contract role for a Backend Developer/Data Engineer- Only Prefer USC. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying data solutions that enable efficient data analysis, visualization, and machine learning model training. Day-to-day tasks include designing, developing, testing, and deploying data pipelines and cloud data infrastructure to support data analysis, machine learning, and business intelligence capabilities. This is a remote role.

QualificationsProfessional experience in software development, with a focus on data engineering and big data technologiesExpertise in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or ScalaHands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, AWS EMR, or equivalent distributed data processing systemsExperience in building and deploying data pipelines using CI/CD methodologiesUnderstanding of data modeling principles and data warehousing conceptsFluency in SQL, experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.Proficiency in cloud technologies, specifically with AWS services like Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and S3Understanding of web service API design and developmentBachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experienceStrong communication and collaboration skills with a focus on teamwork and delivering resultsUS Citizenship is required
