Java Web Developer

POSITION SUMMARY

Primary responsible for managing the programming and database administration of the team. Performs functions required for smooth implementation at the site or provides head office support to sites; sometimes does development work particularly the most difficult ones. Is expected to do systems design work and considered a technical expert and source of information on a wide range of technical issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop programs based on specifications.Test application system.Perform software development.Perform module, system, integration testing.Ensures program efficiency. Prepares user and technical documentation.Properly documents his programs.Conforms to programming standards.Investigate and fix system bugs and errors.Act as back-up production support when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree holder of any course from an accredited university or college, preferably, IT related courseHas between 1 to 2 years' experience in systems and web developmentExperienced with Java 8 or higher, APIs, SQL, and any ORM technologies.Experienced with frontend development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQueryCompetent in Windows, Unix or Linux operating systems.Competent in a programming language, development tools and databaseKnowledge in systems analysis and database designIs self-motivated and goal driven. Has keen attention to detail.Has good interpersonal skills/teamworkCan easily adapt to the changing demands.Is creative in creating solutions and giving suggestions for improvement. Has good analytical skillsIs able to handle the pressure that comes with deadlines and people management.Manages his/her time between different projects and functions that will be assigned to him/her.Is professional in all his/her dealings and sets a good example for more junior staff.
