Sr Developer (with interest in ML/Data Science space)

Develocraft is looking for a Senior Developer for one of our international clients, that creates a complete picture of the world’s energy and commodity markets. You will join a team whose core product is models and analysis focused on economic forecasting, risk assessments, and specialized maritime and commercial data.

Responsibilities:Transform existing basic scripts into comprehensive, production-level workflows, serving as foundational elements for the development of end-to-end strategic solutions.Contribute to the design and development of graph calibration toolkits to support data scientists in their analytical tasks.Facilitate the integration of model calibration and graph construction systems within the existing development framework, ensuring smooth collaboration between teams.Actively participate in the refinement and enhancement of current scripts, focusing on scalability and efficiency to meet evolving project needs.Provide technical support and guidance to data scientists in the implementation of new tools and methodologies, enhancing overall team productivity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in the data processing and analysis pipeline.Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies, and incorporate these advancements into the team's workflows to drive innovation.

Qualifications:Proficient in data analysis libraries: Pandas, Numpy, Scipy.Advanced skills in Python programming, backend API development, and bash scripting.Experience in collaborating closely with data scientists to transform initial Jupyter Notebook projects into fully-fledged software for team use.Ability to work effectively within a team of 6 developers and 4 data scientists.At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.Desired/Obtained Qualifications and experience:Some general knowledge of Bayesian networks and probability would be helpfulExperience working closely with data scientists or ML OpsStrong knowledge of PythonKnowledge of dockerStrong knowledge of Git and Gitlab CI/CDExcellent communication in a geographically distributed team – innovative and inventive, able to pair program and collaborateBS/MS Computer Science/Engineering
