About Our Customer
The American memorabilia manufacturer is primarily known for producing yearbooks and class rings for high schools and colleges. The company also produced photobook products for Disney’s PhotoPass photography service at theme parks and resorts. In addition to its headquarters near Minneapolis and operational offices in Owatonna, Minnesota, the customer has facilities throughout the United States.
Our goal is to continue to support the existing system and develop new rendering architecture to address the current ambitious requirements, including migration of legacy rendering flow to the new modern, robust, and reliable architecture.

Requirements
Deep understanding and experience in Unity: modeling, texturing, shading, surfacing, rigging, lighting, scripting and rendering. Knowledge of WebGL will be a big plusExperience in writing HLSL shaders and/or utilizing Shader Graph for shader design or experience using Amplify or another equivalent 3rd party shader creation toolExperience organizing libraries of assets for a large number of componentsExperience in optimizing rendering and performance tuningSkilled with 3D graphics softwareExperience with E-commerce will be a big plusAbility to create strategically lighted and positioned scenes to complement product channelsKnowledge of typical web image formats and 2D rendering in UnityAbility to analyze requirements and propose optimal solutions.Familiarity with software development lifecycle and good knowledge of GitPositive attitude and a genuine team playerCommunication in both spoken and written EnglishPossibility to work up to 7 pm to CET (overlap with the CST timezone)

Responsibilities
Integrate art assets into the Customer’s system rendering engine without taking away either the artistic vision or going beyond the technical limits of the platform.Complete art such as character art or environment background which are delivered to the technical artist, who then optimizes the art to make sure that the digital files run efficiently, and that the designs keep high standards of visual quality.Propose new strategic vision and improvements for the current rendering pipeline and development process to deliver better user experience and code qualityKeep an eye on the performance of the assets and set standards for workflow through the production pipelineWork closely with the lead artist and the technical architect, as well as the programmers.
