Job Description: Solana Custodial Bridged BTC Contract DeveloperPosition: Solana Custodial Bridged BTC Contract DeveloperLocation: RemoteOverview:21co is seeking a skilled Solana contract developer to spearhead the development of a custodial bridged version of BTC on Solana. The successful candidate will leverage native SPL contracts and Solana extensions to facilitate the seamless transfer and management of wrapped BTC assets on the Solana blockchain.Responsibilities:Develop a core contract with essential features including minting, burning, pausing, unpausing, transferring, freezing addresses, and handling blacklisting of addresses.Ensure that the contract is permissioned for critical actions such as minting and burning, with appropriate roles assigned for security.Implement mechanisms for collateral management, ensuring that each wrapped 21BTC on Solana is backed 1:1 with the underlying BTC held as collateral by 21co.Collaborate with 21co-approved counterparties to facilitate the secure transfer of BTC collateral and minting of wrapped 21BTC on Solana.Maintain and optimize the contract for efficiency, security, and scalability, considering the unique features and requirements of the Solana blockchain.Provide documentation and support for integration with external systems and applications.Qualifications:Proficiency in Rust programming language, with a strong understanding of smart contract development on Solana.Experience developing SPL (Solana Program Library) contracts and familiarity with Solana extensions.Prior experience with token bridging and custodial solutions, particularly involving BTC or other cryptocurrencies.Knowledge of blockchain security best practices and experience implementing permissioned actions and role-based access control.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, well-tested code.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Ethereum smart contract development and token standards (e.g., ERC-20, ERC-721).Familiarity with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and concepts.Contributions to open-source projects within the blockchain ecosystem
