Job Overview:We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our team. As a Backend Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of robust backend systems that power our applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in computer science from one of the Tier 1 IITs and 3-5 years of experience in backend development. Bonus points if you have experience with Spark.

Responsibilities:Backend Development:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into scalable backend solutions.Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code.Implement backend features and functionalities using appropriate languages and frameworks.Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of backend systems.Database Management:Work with various database systems, both relational and non-relational, to store and retrieve data efficiently.Optimize database queries and operations for improved performance.Design database schemas and models to support application requirements.Spark Experience (Bonus):Utilize Spark for large-scale data processing and analytics tasks.Develop Spark applications to process, analyze, and visualize data.Optimize Spark jobs for performance and scalability.Code Quality and Testing:Write clean, well-structured code following best practices and coding standards.Conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of backend code.Participate in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback.Documentation and Collaboration:Document technical designs, processes, and procedures.Collaborate effectively with team members, including frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers.Communicate project status, challenges, and progress effectively to stakeholders.

Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from one of the Tier 1 IITs.Experience: 3-5 years of experience in backend development roles, with a strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.Technical Skills:Proficiency in backend development using languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js, along with experience with related frameworks and technologies.Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.Bonus: Experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and analytics.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Adaptability and Learning Agility: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.
