Technology Consultants are responsible for the implementation and configuration of the technical infrastructure including web applications, layered software, hardware platform and operating systems. The Technology Consultant regularly consults with clients on best practices, issue resolution and experience guidance in order to improve the performance/reliability of client's technical environment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical designOccasionally responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutionsUnderstands a broad spectrum of technology in order to provide part or all of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirementsOften leads small-to-medium technical projects. Works with and under the direction of the Project/Technical Manager and with customer nominated representatives. Liaises with Solutions Architect as appropriateProvides technical support and input on the application of technology to a defined business segmentProvides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segmentsProvides technical leadership on specific integration activities that are part of an engagementProvides planning and design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environmentCommunicates across client community, and is viewed as adding valueContributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learning’s are documented and shared. You have a bachelor's degree in a technology or comparable majorYou have 0-2 years of experience developing Appian solutionsYou have an active Associate Appian Developer certificationYou have experience working in Agile development teams, so you are familiar with how Appian projects are runYou participate in user story refinement, so you know what your team needs to deliverYou work within a team to implement customer solutions, so customers can use Appian to transform their business processesYou work with your team to follow Appian best practices and create technical designs, so teams can build scalable and efficient Appian solutionsAs a team member, you have strong communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences, so you can succeed in a fast-paced environmentAs a team member, you have strong organization skills, problem-solving skills, and able to succeed in a fast-paced environmentAs a Perficient colleague, you support operational excellence by timely and accurate time and expense submissionsAs an Appian Practice member, you work with your leads and directors to support practice collateral and capabilities

Role Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent degree; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years in total)Sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to be individually responsible for the design and scope of deliverables within a field of expertise. Has led small team in delivery of a specific deliverableMastered at least one technical discipline with strong knowledge in at least three major technology areasPossesses advanced level of business, technical, or functional knowledgeAbility to perform/drive resolution of problems on combinations and interactions of productsAbility to apply technology and consulting to solve a client business problemAble to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidenceDemonstrates the use of consulting skills including: questioning, listening, ideas development, permission and rapport, and influencingAbility to conduct/lead oral status/technical interchange meetings with clients on small to medium sized engagementsOwns and produces customer documentation. Ability to translate technical details into concise and easy to understand written form. Ability to write relevant components of a proposal document (e.g. answer specific RFP questions). Ability to translate verbal requirements from face to face client meetings into requirements documents, statements of work, and proposalsAble to discuss (within own area of expertise) requirements with a customer, and to challenge and clarify when appropriate. From the requirements, able to develop a high level design or plan, and then estimate the amount of effort required to deliver. Able to advise the engagement owner about the risks associated with this work packageAbility to work with a team to provide written responses to technical proposals and /or reports/documentation for delivery

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $45864 - $101520. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
