Position overview:

The Backend Engineer role will be a critical team member of our Application Chapter responsible for designing, developing and delivering robust solutions that enhance the mobility experience of our customers.

What will you do?

Writing clean, maintainable and efficient code to develop and maintain software applications.Aiding in the migration of existing Java code to Python.Supporting features and resolving issues in a Java codebase.Contributing in the analysis of the requirements and creating technical designs.Creating functional, unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability.Actively participating in code reviews to maintain code quality.Preparing comprehensive technical documentation.

What are the skills Taleo is looking for?

Minimum 3 years of working experience in software development using Python and/or Java, familiarity with both Java and Python ecosystems would be considered a huge plus.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or any related field or equivalent experience.Experience in designing and implementing REST Web APIs.Familiarity with databases (we use SQL Server).Professional experience with Version Control Systems (Git, etc).Previous experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy or Java Play framework is a nice to have.Professional proficiency in English.
