Job Responsibilities
System Development, Integration, & Scoped Applications:Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of robust ServiceNow integration solutions within scoped applications.Oversee data flows, ensuring synchronization across various platforms and databases, both internal and external.Develop RESTful and SOAP web services for external integrations.Engage in architectural discussions and provide recommendations on integration solutions, including the introduction of new technologies and platforms.Utilize best practices when extending tables, scripting, and applying object-oriented programming (OOP) methodologies within ServiceNow.
Requirement Gathering & Comprehensive Documentation:Engage directly with stakeholders to discern both technical and functional requirements.Document detailed technical specifications, process diagrams, data flow charts, and the rationale behind architectural choices.Ensure that every development step and integration is meticulously documented for future reference and support.
Leadership, Team Collaboration, & Best Practices:Provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to junior developers, emphasizing the importance of database best practices and efficient script management.Coordinate with project managers, QA teams, and other developers to ensure a smooth deployment lifecycle.Lead and facilitate integration-related discussions and workshops, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and adherence to best practices.
Quality Assurance, Performance, & Database Integrity:Design and execute rigorous test plans to ensure the robustness and stability of integration solutions.Continuously monitor integrations for performance, implementing optimizations when necessary.Safeguard all integrations and developments against security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with data protection standards.Maintain the integrity of ServiceNow’s database architecture, promoting best practices in table extensions and script optimization.
Continuous Learning & Enhancement:Remain updated on the latest ServiceNow features, updates, and industry best practices.Actively identify areas for system efficiency, scalability, and stability improvements.Participate in relevant training and workshops to continually enhance technical proficiency.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:Demystify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, translating intricate jargon into understandable terms.Manage expectations adeptly, keeping all stakeholders informed of project trajectories.Gracefully navigate and adapt to evolving client requirements.
Job Qualifications:U.S. Citizenship is requiredEligible to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance4+ years of experience designing and developing solutions with ServiceNow in an Agile Software Development environmentBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldDemonstrated experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a significant focus on integrations and scoped applicationsComprehensive understanding of ServiceNow's architecture, including database design, table extensions, and script managementProficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and their application in ServiceNowExceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a team environmentPreferred, but not required:ServiceNow Certified Application DeveloperServiceNow Implementation Specialist CertifiedServiceNow Certified System AdministratorITIL Foundation v4Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role
