General responsibilities:Utilize functional programming languages, particularly Elixir, to tackle intricate programming challenges in the enhancement of our web application.Implement additional features within the web application to enhance user experience, employing React.js for the development of new user-facing features.Construct reusable front-end components and libraries as specified by the UX team, ensuring their adaptability for future use.Translate design concepts and wireframes into high-quality code, seamlessly integrating it with the backend for a cohesive user experience.Optimize components to achieve peak performance across a diverse range of web-capable devices and browsers.Collaborate closely with the development team to formulate a strategy that prioritizes an exceptional user experience.Engage in ongoing research to stay updated on the latest and best coding practices.Conduct regular code reviews and provide feedback for your colleagues through PR reviews.Maintain and troubleshoot existing code, addressing bugs and ensuring its continued functionality.Develop and implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to uphold code quality and robustness

Requirements

Needed skills and qualifications:

5+ years of real-world experience in software developmentStrong understanding of Elixir, Phoenix and React.js in a production environmentStrong understanding of Elixir and React.jsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailGood understanding of modern front-end build pipelines and toolsExperience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirementsStrong experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (Tailwind CSS is a plus) and a strong desire to build beautiful end-user experiences that exceed expectation
