A Staff DevOps Engineer contributes as a production software development and operations professional. This involves the areas of production-quality software scope evaluation, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. It also includes supporting production level systems.  Effective communication with other job disciplines is required.  A Staff DevOps Engineer can work independently with occasional check-ins with their mentor or more senior team members.  A Staff DevOps Engineer can take on most features or work items within the team and deliver design, code, test, and support on-time with high quality.  They may operate as a Tech Lead, providing guidance and technical leadership for an entire product area or to the broader Company.
