Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in backend development to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data processing and backend systems. The successful candidate will be a quick learner who can adapt to new technologies and spin up prototypes rapidly to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs to support our software applications.Implement data processing pipelines to handle large volumes of data efficiently.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure the stability and performance of the software.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.4+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend systems.Strong programming skills in at least one backend language such as Java, PHP, or Python.Experience with data processing and handling large datasets.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.

Preferred Qualifications:

Frontend Skills: Some experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript would be beneficial.Data Science Knowledge: Familiarity with data science concepts and tools such as machine learning algorithms, data visualization, and statistical analysis would be a plus.
