As a Software Developer Engineer (SDE) - III in the Vacation Rentals vertical at TripAdvisor, you'll be instrumental in crafting digital solutions for one of the most visited travel platforms globally. Vacation rentals refer to the market segment offering alternate lodging options beyond traditional hotels. These encompass properties such as homes, villas, apartments, or other unique accommodations available for short-term rental. They cater to travelers seeking more space, privacy, or the opportunity to stay in residential areas, often providing a distinctive local experience.

Responsibilities:

Lead design and implementation of complex technical systems, estimating scope of work, organizing and prioritizing work, communicating timelines, and managing expectations.Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. Optimizing data structures in various DB technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Deploy applications on AWS using IaaC with AWS CDK or Terraform, ensuring the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.Monitor the performance and optimize the systems for speed and scalability.Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to building the best practices.

Additional NOTES:

Shift timings - 11AM IST to 7PM IST Interview Process - 4 rounds Name of the Payroll running company – Kaam Work. The offer letter will mention Tripadvisor. All of the employee management (growth, compensation, work planning etc) will be done by TA. EOR model. Not contractors.The agreement will get signed with Kaam WorkWill talents work on their own device or will you provide them your equipment? KaamWork will provide Macbook to talents.Kaamwork is the on-the-ground HR partner managing services like talent sourcing, employment contracts, payroll, and compliance. This Role Requires:

Qualifications:

6+ years of large scale, full life cycle development experienceProven experience in Java, with a deep understanding of the Spring Boot framework.Experience with AWS and database technologies such as DynamoDB, Postgres and MySQL.Strong understanding of microservices architecture and service monitoring.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.Proven experience working with cloud technologies.Proven experience when working on postgres.
