About you

👨‍💻As one of our highly valued development team members you will engage in a range of challenging activities including:Ruby on Rails developmentDesigning / Architecting / Development and deployment of new featuresDeveloping and improving workflowsInvolvement in team meetings, product reviews and project planningEngaging with internal testing and development processesAdvising major technical decisions and directionAdvising technical solutions for major client deals in conjunction with the product managerPromoting strategic projects to better align the company with ongoing requirements or technical changes

🫴The Rails Developer is responsible for writing server-side web app logic (Ruby), working with our database (MongoDB) and utilities (Elastic Search) to deliver complete feature developments and improvements.

🔀We have a great work culture and work/life balance, with 37h work weeks, office hours of Mon-Fri 8am-12pm NZT (Sun-Thu where you are) and the rest of your hours at your own discretion. This is a full-time permanent position and includes 4 weeks of paid annual leave as part of your contract.

🛠️Our ideal applicant will have a background working with major projects in a significant role, is experienced with Ruby on Rails development and has experience with MongoDB and Elasticsearch (or similar).

🚠 We still have some difficult problems to solve - this is not really an "assembly-line" coding job. Your ability to learn and adapt will be key to your success. If you are passionate about what you create and enjoy finding beautiful solutions to tricky problems, we would love to hear from you.
