Automation Software Developer

JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a talented Automation Software Developer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in languages such as Python, C#, Go, and PowerShell, with a strong preference for Python, to develop a graphical user interface (GUI) application (MSI installer) that will automate the onboarding and installation process of our new version of SystemWatch for our customers.This is an exciting job with room for significant career growth. Please note: you must have at least 5+ years experience as a developer and 2+ years experience in automation to be considered for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements and objectives of automating the onboarding and installation of SystemWatch for customers.Develop and maintain a GUI-based application using Python, Go or Powershell.Create an MSI installer to facilitate the seamless deployment of the automation tool.Utilize PowerShell for scripting purposes to automate installation processes.Ensure the application's performance, scalability, and security meet industry standards.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or bugs that may arise during the development and deployment of the automation tool.Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies to continually improve the automation process.

EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Strong proficiency in programming languages, with a strong preference for Python, followed by Go, PowerShell, and C#.Proven experience in developing GUI applications and MSI installers.In-depth knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation.Familiarity with software deployment and installation processes.Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot software issues.Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Experience with system provisioning and deployment.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.Understanding of the SystemWatch software and its installation process.Experience with Agile / Scrum software development practices.Ability to coordinate working with multiple teams to get tasks completed from start to finish.Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills and ability to write clear technical documentationAble to work both independently and as a member of a geographically dispersed team.Excellent written and verbal English and communication skills.Initiative and drive to do great things.
