We are looking for a Mid/Senior Level Back End Developer (Ruby on Rails).

We are looking for a mid level backend developer, based in the UK, to support the growth of the team as the company matures. This role will work with five other backend developers to support our two backend leads, covering typical BAU client tickets as well as tackling some older improvements. This is a great opportunity for the right person to take on a challenging and broad role. Homeflow is operating on a fully remote basis for the foreseeable future but some travel will be required for team meetings (Brighton/SE England).
Typical job tasks include:Fixing back end bugsDeveloping new features and writing user storiesAdding test coverage to legacy applicationsDevising technical strategy and best practices with senior staff in the development teamImproving continuous integration/delivery pipelinesContributing to team-building during stand-ups and retrosFurthering knowledge and understanding of relevant technologies
We’re looking for someone who has:At least 2-4 years of professional experience developing softwareProficiency with Ruby/Ruby on Rails - this could be current or recent past experienceExperience with test-driven/behaviour-driven development, particularly RSpecProven ability to write readable code and efficient, scalable software
It would be a bonus if they also have:Experience with static code analysis tools such as Rubocop, BrakemanProficiency with both document and relational database systems (particularly MySQL, MongoDB)
