System Developer

FPG has exciting opportunities for a Software Developer / System Developer with C# and Skyline Dataminer (the NMS) development experience. The successful candidates will be joining a remote and long-term project with a global provider of Media Broadcast services and solutions whose customers are some of the world's leading media broadcasters.

Responsibilities:You will be an expert in your assigned technical area (Skyline Dataminer) and have ownership of the technical environment of one or more live operational areas, as assigned by the Technical Manager. You will be responsible for development of front-end/back-end application software for the Skyline Dataminer Network Managing System for our client's customers.You will act as a point of escalation when required regarding all things Dataminer.Have a detailed understanding of the assigned technical platforms and systems.Maintain a roadmap of problem fixes, future developments and refresh plans for assigned technologies.Contribute to design of new systems within area of expertise.Complete project implementation tasks as assigned by Technical Manager.Project manage small technical projects, eg hardware refresh of existing systems or system improvements.Review and approve changes which affect systems or areas of responsibility.

Experience:C# experienceXML, SQL, Cassandra and JIRA experience is a bonusSkyline Dataminer experienceFamiliarity with a sizable, well-organized broadcast setting.The capability of formalized knowledge management system usage and updates.Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to work closely and productively with a variety of audiences and levels.An awareness of various database technologies.
