Job DescriptionOpportunity: Senior Full Stack Developer – RemoteOpportunity OverviewSD Solutions is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join the Digital Modernization Program Contract at DHS as part of a larger technical team to modernize legacy java applications using Cloud and DevSecOps. This position allows for remote work because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. This is a contractor position on a federal government contract.Responsibilities Include· Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying modern Java web applications iteratively in the AWS environment using DevSecOps ToolsRequirements Overview· BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience in a related area with at least five years of software engineering experience· Strong programming skills that includes at least 5 year working as a Java (5+) developer, with strong knowledge of object-oriented programming· Should have extensive experience with Spring Boot and Gradle (Core, Boot, Data), JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux (see list of questions with apps/tools experience)· Experience with Python is also preferred· Additionally, DevOps/DevSecOps experience in cloud-native environments is preferred. In particular, we would like a candidate with experience using Docker, AWS, and EKS· Experience with Terraform and Helm is also preferred· Experience working in Agile Development environments (Scrum, SAFe)· Familiar with Test Driven Development and Interested in Pair Programming· Must be a U.S. CitizenSuperstar Qualifications· DHS experience is preferred· Public Trust Clearance with DHS is highly preferred· Current remote/telecommuting because of the COVID-19 pandemicEmployment Type· Full-time, W2 employment· Exempt, salaried· Eligible for paid benefitsClearance, Citizenship, and Work Location Requirements· Note: Due to Executive Order 14042, all contractors must be vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide a justification/accommodation for not obtaining vaccination.
