Job Description: As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of building and enhancing the core backend infrastructure that powers Geemi's SaaS offerings. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a mix of coding, system design, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure our backend systems are robust, scalable, and seamlessly integrated with our front-end user interfaces.

Responsibilities:Design and Implement High-Performance Systems: Develop and enhance our backend infrastructure to support high-volume, low-latency SaaS applications. You'll work on optimizing data processing, storage solutions, and application logic to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability.Collaborate Across Teams: Engage closely with frontend engineers, designers, and product managers to define API contracts, data models, and system architectures that align with our product roadmap and user experience goals.Mentorship and Code Reviews: Share your knowledge and experience by mentoring junior engineers, promoting best practices, and leading by example. Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and encourage a culture of learning and collaboration.

Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of professional experience in backend or fullstack development, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.Proficiency in modern backend frameworks such as Python & Go. Expertise in AWS services & technologies. Experience with infrastructure-as-code for managing cloud resources.Experience with version control systems, such as Git.Experience with database systems & data modeling. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice to have:Masters Degree or Higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in a startup environment, wearing multiple hats and owning responsibilities outside the general scope of the job description. Knowledge of build tools like Webpack, Babel, or Gulp.Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
