Full Stack Developer

CANDIDATES IN THE DC/MD/VA METRO AREA WITH THE ABILITY TO WORK A HYBRID SCHEDULE (2-3 DAYS A WEEK) PREFERRED

RESPONSIBILITES:

Works primarily as a senior software developer and brings experience using tools and frameworks to develop solutions that meet client requirements.As part of a cross-functional Agile team, the Developer coordinates with team members to follow best practices, plan work, and communicate with the client on progressDesign, Develop and implement Java based enterprise solutions to meet client requirements.Support quality development practices, including test driven development.Employ the values and principles of Agile development, as part of an Agile DevSecOps team.Actively participate in improving the code base by performing code reviews.Evaluate technical effort to implement client requirements and participate in the creation and sizing of user stories.Participate and contribute to all agile ceremonies/events.Work closely with the team to ensure that technical user stories and acceptance criteria are accurately captured.Contribute to documentation of system design and procedures.Design skills with experience in object-oriented methodologies, design patterns, microservices, streaming technologies, database design, and data modeling.Excellent communication skills to be able to interact directly with non-technical client stakeholders and act in a business-to-technical translation role.Experience leading a team of developers in the design and delivery of cloud-based, continuously deployed client solutions.Experience working in an onsite client technical consulting environment preferred.Experience working within Agile Frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban.Self-motivated and self-managing.Proficient in creating reasonable and accurate time estimates for assigned tasks.

NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a U.S. CitizenMust be open to working during Eastern Standard Time business hours to meet customer requirements.Must have an Active/Current Department of Homeland Security Entry on Duty (EOD) Clearance/Investigation or previously held one within the last 24 months Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsMust have critical thinking and analytical skills.Excellent time management skills and working within aggressive delivery schedules.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 5 years of software/application development experience with one of the following Tech Stacks:

JAVA/Spring BootReact.jsPythonPostgres*One or more NoSQL database (For example MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.,)

Experience working within Agile Frameworks, such as Scrum or KanbanExperience working using JIRAProficient in creating reasonable and accurate time estimates for assigned tasksExcellent communication skills to be able to interact directly with non-technical client stakeholders and act in a business-to-technical translation role, including generating effective visualizations
