Senior ServiceNow Developer

Alcor Solutions is hiring a Senior ServiceNow Developer for the Product Development practice. This is a 100% remote job opportunity. We are seeking a skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our product development team. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform to enhance our product offerings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in ServiceNow development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions and Service Portal to meet business requirements and enhance product offerings.Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Customize ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, Glide, Jelly, HTML, CSS, and other relevant technologies.Customize and configure ServiceNow Service Portal components, widgets, themes, and layouts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS or similar frameworks. Implement responsive design principles to ensure compatibility across various devices and screen sizes. Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and applications using APIs, web services, and integration tools. Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of ServiceNow solutions.Optimize portal performance and usability through code refactoring, caching mechanisms, and other techniques. Conduct thorough testing of portals to identify and fix bugs, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks. Document technical designs, configurations, and implementation procedures for reference and knowledge sharing. Stay updated on ServiceNow platform updates, new features, and best practices related to portal development. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile/Scrum activities.Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to junior developers and team members. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a focus on building custom applications, portal development, preferably in a product development environment. Strong proficiency in web development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AngularJS or similar frameworks. Experience customizing and extending ServiceNow applications using scripting and configuration. Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and best practices for creating intuitive user interfaces. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and AJAX for integrating portals with external systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is a plus.
