About You

As a Web Development Lead, you will lead a team that is responsible for building and maintaining the templates and infrastructure powering AppDirect.com and other various web properties. From Brand and Design to Demand Gen and Product Marketing, you will collaborate to bring their vision to life online. You will establish and implement the technical vision and systems design for various projects, building the systems that enable the rest of the organization to be successful on the web. You’ll be a player/coach that sets the bar for code styles and standards on your team and help guide the career trajectories of the devs on the team.

What you’ll do and how you’ll have an impact

Lead a small team of developers in the development and maintenance of web properties for the Marketing organization within AppDirect. Build component library and design system with the Design/Brand teams. Execute on development work alongside your team. Work collaboratively with our Developer Operations and Platform Engineering teams to adopt emerging technologies and company infrastructure. Guide decision-making by simplifying technical challenges for non-technical coworkers. Collaborate with Design, Brand, Demand Gen, and Web Marketing teams to influence project planning and execution. Set priorities and processes for your team to stay organized and keep stakeholders in the loop. Consult on various front-end or marketing-adjacent projects across the company.

What We’re Looking For

Experience with people management or formal mentorship relationships. Experience balancing competing priorities and making decisive decisions that guide the team to success. You leverage data in your decision making and can interpret it for stakeholders. At least 6 years experience with full-stack development. Familiarity with common project management tools like Jira or Monday. A passion for building high quality codebases and architecting systems with efficiency, scale, and maintainability in mind. You're experienced producing designs from common graphic design software. You're able to manage websites hosting.You have high standards for writing efficient, semantic, and accessible HTML, mobile-first CSS built with great tools like Sass. You have experience with a frontend JavaScript framework like React. Functional knowledge of PHP, GraphQL, Sass, and CSS Modules. Experience with CraftCMS, Strapi, or other headless content management systems. You have experience with Next.JS, being able to connect to headless content managements platform, manage that relationship with nextJS, create pages, etcYou have a commitment to QA and experience in cross-browser and accessibility testing. You love collaborating with designers and other stakeholders. You are proactive in following up to push the project forward and ensure the final product aligns with their vision and goals. You have a GitHub, Quora, or StackOverflow account that demonstrates what you love to do.
